Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 hosted a side event on the margins of COSP 18 on the theme “Addressing the Adverse Impact of Climate Events on Persons with Disabilities”
Sierra Leone’s Minister of Social Welfare and Head of Delegation- COSP 18 delivered a Call to Action which included guaranteeing “inclusive education, social protection, healthcare, and accessible infrastructure in post-disaster recovery and climate adaptation programming” and strengthening “international cooperation and accountability, placing equity, dignity, and agency of PWDs at the center of global responses.”
The event was co-sponsored by Ireland 🇮🇪, Pakistan🇵🇰, Chile 🇨🇱 Georgia🇬🇪 and Turkiye🇹🇷.
